ABOUT US
PAN XENIA FRATERNITY is an international honorary fraternity dedicated to the promotion of interest in international trade and the establishment of higher standards and ideals of business ethics.
The mother chapter was founded in the University of Washington in 1919, and the Philippine Alpha Chapter (which is what this website pertains to) was chartered in the University of the Philippines in 1923.
Since then the Fraternity has been continuously molding young men in the University into the finest business leaders in the country. It has also consistently conducted professional and social activites on the basis of goodwill.
Character Development
In Pan Xenia, members are trained to become responsible citizens of the business world. Adhering
strictly to the Fraternity's cardinal virtues, members get to grow in a culture of integrity that imbues
them with a keen sense of character that will be indispensable later on when they take on leadership
roles. In a world of corporate greed and dishonesty, Pan Xenians stand apart and live up to the oft-forgotten
ideals of honesty and business ethics.
Training and Exposure
Members of Pan Xenia are routinely exposed to the business scene, and get expert advice and training from
alumni who are leaders in their fields. They get to meet and chat with CEOs, Presidents, Vice-Presidents,
and now, even a Senate President.
A Unique Kind of Camaraderie
Unlike most university organizations, Pan Xenia deliberately limits its numbers. Aside from maintaining
the quality of its membership, this practice also ensures that the Fraternity remains a tight group of
friends, and not a crowd of acquaintances. And it pays off, as Pan Xenians are known to be close to
each other even across generations -- a student member in the University can comfortably chat
with a CEO alumnus in Makati.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Pan Xenia is Latin for "All-Embracing Goodwill," and the Fraternity tries to live up to its name through
various social projects and community-oriented activities. Resident members organize medical missions,
blood drives, and support various organizations and efforts such as Gawad Kalinga and Habitat for
Humanity. Alumni, acting individually or in behalf of the Fraternity, give back to their alma mater
through professorial chairs, donations, and even infrastructure projects.
